King Wilhelm II of Württemberg's mother has died

Princess Friedrich of Württemberg, mother of King Wilhelm II, has died, according to a New York Times' dispatch from Stuttgart.
Princess Katharina Friederike Charlotte of Württemberg was born at Stuttgart on August 24, 1821,  was the eldest daughter of King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, and his third wife, Duchess Pauline of Württemberg.   (The King also had two daughters, Marie and Sophie, by his second wife, Grand Duchess Catherine of Russia.)
On November 20, 1845,  Princess Katharina married her first cousin, Prince Friedrich of Württemberg, the eldest son of Prince Paul and his wife, Princess Charlotte of Saxe-Hildburghausen. 

King Wilhelm I died on January 25, 1864, and was succeeded by his only son, Karl, who was married to Grand Duchess Olga of Russia,  This marriage was childless.  King Karl died in  1891, and the throne passed to his first cousin, Prince Wilhelm, as Wilhelm's father, Friedrich, had died in 1870.

The Princess is survived by her son, Wilhelm II, and his daughter, Princess Pauline, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
